John Inglett – Bio

Hi! My name is John Inglett, and I am a Masters student at UGA in Athens, Georgia. I returned to school part time six years ago to finish my undergraduate degree with a desire to begin teaching as I approach retirement. As a Masters student,I am researching the development of belief systems from the Medieval period through the Reformation. I amem particularly interested in the convergence of primitive cultures with Christianity and how these intersections represent current dogmas. I think that understanding these trajectories can help us better understand ourselves and the kind of structures that influence behavior. Literature is the lens through which I plan to view this transference, and I think literature is the best sociological expression of the period. I have several works in progress including a novel entitled The Death of Sertan Notions.
